his is a continuous posting, not an announcement for a specific vacancy. We are building the pool of qualified applicants for possible future adjunct teaching vacancies within Cooperative Education. Responsibilities: Teach assigned course under the direction of Career Services Regularly meet with students enrolled in assigned course Speak with each student's employer at least once per semester Assist students in establishing learning objectives and related assignments Abide by all applicable executive orders, federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations, as well as university policies and procedures relating to adjunct faculty and general campus employment Attend and/or complete required trainings by the university and additional training as determined by Career Services Qualifications: Master's Degree required; Bachelor's degree with extensive related experience in advising, counseling, etc. may be considered Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required Teaching experience in higher education preferred Ability to effectively use Canvas LMS to facilitate course (Training Provided) Ability to communicate with diverse groups Ability to use student-centered instructional strategies and techniques Ability to motivate and fairly evaluate student progress and achievement Contract: Adjunct position (part-time) paid at $125 per student per semester. Position is open to non-Dixie State University employees who meet the above qualifications or to on-campus full-time staff employees as a supplemental assignment with work limits defined under University Policy.
